After a few steps down a gentle slope, experience the thrill of paragliding, a must do in Queenstown. You will be harnessed into your comfortable front row seat with your experienced tandem pilot taking the controls. Have an exhilarating joy ride or a relaxed scenic flight.
Safety is a top priority with tandem paragliding. You’ll be equipped with a secure harness and helmet, and your pilot will ensure all gear is properly fitted. Listening to your pilot’s guidance is key for a safe and thrilling experience.
If you feel a little daring there’s a higher take off option from Rocky Gully. It gives you the opportunity for a more aerobatic flight with more spins and turns in the air, great for the thrill seekers! If you want a gentle tandem flight but still take off higher, this is also for you.
During the winter months (June – September) the chairlifts allow access to the snow launch point at the Coronet Peak skifield. The views off the summit are incredible, plus there’s 1,100m vertical to play with. This is twice the height of the Queenstown Gondola, and is therefore the finest tandem paragliding experience in Queenstown.

2 years agoMy cousin and I just did our first paragliding at Coronet Peak with our friendly guides , Jack and Sener. Both of them were really friendly and reassured us that it is very safe. My experience with Jack was super fun as he did some stunts before landing. It is definitely a memorable experience for us. We totally enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone who is planning to try out paragliding.

2 years agoFirst time paraglider. Felt super safe in Nina's care. She was also the best photographer of our group and took amazing memories. Our kids, 16 and 12 also loved the experience. The highlight of our whole trip!
