We love this place and it’s been a favourite of ours for years, the location is stunning and the food delicious. Regatta has catered for many of our celebrations.
There’s lot’s of seating with both indoor and out door spaces to pick from. We love sitting by the window or on the balcony while sipping wine or bubbly and looking across to the beach. Regatta comes highly recommended from us.

Took along a group of overseas guests tonight to spend some serious $$$ and one of the girls was chucked out for throwing a drink, when she was the one that had drink thrown all over her. These doorman are amatures and need some serious re-training. Firstly guys you don’t forcibly grab a young ladies arm like that and drag them out and two take a moment to get your facts right, couldn’t you see her clothes were completely soaked? I hope the owner reads this.

a week agoVery poor and improvised service. I do not recommend this place. We chose it for lunch to celebrate Christmas with our family and had high expectations, but unfortunately, the waiter's service was very poor. After the waiter finally came to take our order, he didn't have anything to write with and had to leave. After he finally wrote down our order, the wait was endless, and they only brought two meals. They didn't prepare my wife's meal, nor did they bring the glasses of wine we ordered.

a week agoI visited Regatta Takapuna on Christmas Eve with my mother and sister who had just arrived from Korea, hoping to take them somewhere nice. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. After being shown to our table, we waited over 15 minutes with no staff coming to take our order—not even water—despite the restaurant not being busy. I eventually had to stand up holding the menu and wait until I could catch a staff member’s attention to place our order. During the meal, we asked for ketchup. Again, no one came over, and after waving to get a staff member’s attention, we were told it would be brought to us. It never arrived. We asked another staff member later, but it still didn’t come, so we ended up eating without it. To make matters worse, when we went to pay, we were charged for two sparkling waters that we never ordered. When we pointed this out, it was removed. It was disappointing, especially as I was hosting family visiting from overseas and wanted them to have a good impression of New Zealand. The food was okay, but the service really let the experience down.
