3 weeks agoThis was the third time we have dined at the Millhouse in the last 4 months. Sadly, this was the worst experience we have had there. We ordered an entree, to come with 2 main courses (grilled fillet of beef) The entree, was Asparagus and Cos. Thinking this would have some nice spears of Asparagus, with Cos leaves and dressing. But, instead, it was a study in green. Finely sliced asparagus, hidden under a chiffonade of lettuce with a puddle of green emulsion in the middle. Finished with some pretty flowers. Served very tidily in a chipped bowl. Actually 2 chips out of the bowl. When expecting guests to pay $33.00 for seasonal vegetables, at least make sure the plate ware is in good order. There would have been no way the chef putting this dish together would mot have seen the poor quality of the crockery. Beef, was fine, although too much emphasis on the zucchini garnish. Serving zucchini 6 ways, is not really required with the beef dish. I hope their attention to detail improves.
