We made a flying visit here on the basis of two recommendations from locals that raved. It didn't disappoint. If you are a true foodie this place is for you. Had the Signature fish crudo, the Apple Shed tiramisu and glass of recommended riesling. The owner(?) / front-of-house was knowledgeable and friendly and both dishes were truly excellent. It's worth the drive from Nelson simply for the food here.

Lovely lunch here day after Boxing Day. Very busy so wait times understandably a little longer but food was delicious, their homemade cider is the best I’ve ever tasted and desserts were awesome. I had salad nicoise with warm salmon. Not huge portions but great flavours and freshness. Two had the apple strudel dessert and pronounced it exceptional. I had the coconut cheese cake which looked a picture (see attached)! Wait staff was pleasant and working hard to please despite how busy they were. Of course, the location and view are world class. An absolute kiwi classic looking out over the acquamarine waters of the Tasman to the little islands.👌🥂🏖️

The restaurant has the most lovely view of the bay, the service was great and the food was INSANE. All very unique and delicious dishes. The flavour combos were the best. Even the dessert was beautiful. A new favourite restaurant for me and my friend.

Felt like fine dining, but with better portion sizes. Every plate was an adventure, very tasty and good texture combinations. The customer service was also really good. The best restaurant we've been to in this area to treat ourselves. Would highly recommend.

We had a 22 year old waiter that has worked here since 14 yrs old. I think he may end up owning it. He is outstanding and engaged, reading the floor. Really made our evening
