Eden Garden is a garden in Mt Eden, Auckland set in 2 hectares of former quarry land. It was established in 1964 and is open to the public for an admission fee. Eden Garden was donated to the people of New Zealand in 1965 and is managed by The Eden Garden Society, Inc., a not-for-profit society.
The garden features a café where visitors can enjoy light refreshments. A gift shop also offers locally made souvenirs. These amenities enhance the overall experience in the serene surroundings.
Known as Auckland’s ‘hidden gem’, discover this stunning memorial garden in the heart of Auckland. Eden Garden has become an award-winning destination with beautiful plant collections that always provide something in bloom. Use of eco-friendly methods to control weeds encourages a thriving bio-diversity to encourage native fauna, geckos, wetas, insects, birds and butterflies supported through a butterfly breeding programme during the summer months.

3 weeks agoSmall botanical garden with a café. The cappuccino was very good. Not suitable for wheelchair users as it's located on a slope (except for the café). However, it's not a great viewpoint for Auckland. There's the Mount Eden Lookout just around the corner, which offers a fantastic 360-degree panoramic view.
