I have experienced many wine tastings and never write reviews but if I could use one word to describe this place, it would be overhyped. Only ONE glass was used to sample four different wines and it was not rinsed in between each wine. We were also not offered water so we could not refresh our palate in between each wine. This made it quite challenging to differentiate the taste of each wine as the flavours just all contaminated each other. After the wine tasting, we went for lunch in the main restaurant where I could immediately smell a very strong fish odour which indicates that the fish is not fresh.

A very beautiful setting with very nice view towards Rangitoto island and Auckland City. Staff were very friendly and informative. We got the 3 courses set menus. The food were very nicely place and the beef ribs and the steak was very beautifully cooked. Unfortunately the 2 seafood dishes doesn't taste as fresh as it should be which was disappointing for this price range. The dessert were delightful and beautifully plated.

I came here on my birthday for the degustation menu with wine pairing. Our table was set with custom menus, catered to my diet. Our Spanish waiter (from Barcelona, didn't get his name) was super attentive. The food was excellent and so were the wine pairings. I even received a special birthday dessert. Highly recommend.
