Since its inception, Needo has added a unique flavor to Auckland’s food scene by offering wholesome, hearty, and generously portioned freshly-made pasta at affordable prices. Founded in 2013 as a food truck, Needo has since expanded to three locations in Auckland City, Needo Auckland University, Needo Commercial Bay and now Needo Manawa Bay. Manawa Bay opened in 2021, adding to its bustling presence in Auckland City and Commercial Bay areas.

The name “Needo” combines “knead” and “dough,” reflecting their commitment to crafting pasta with love. Ingredients are locally sourced from trusted suppliers, ensuring every dish reflects freshness and quality craftsmanship.

To promote sustainability, Needo serves its delicious dishes in eco-friendly paper bowls with bamboo cutlery, aiming to reduce plastic waste. Restaurants make use of energy-efficient appliances and implement stringent recycling programs to minimize their environmental impact.

We loved the Mac and cheese sauce, and the Basil Pesto dishes. Needo actively engages in local food festivals, offering cooking demonstrations and supporting local food banks.
