This is our third time staying at the lodge. It’s a perfect spot for a romantic getaway. The staff are very friendly and professional. However, the gardens around the cottages are neglected and full of weeds and do not give a good impression of a high quality resort. Our cottage looked like it had not been checked for a while. The carpet was dirty and bathroom dirty around the edges. The curtain in the room was also broken.

One word…disappointing. Woodhouse, at one point must have been and offered a high quality experience, but now, everything is showing signs of wear, the staff are not committed and the food is ok. All in all, underwhelming.

The lodge is old, but the service is good. Dinner and breakfast are both included and taste great.
